As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

it's not exactly legal to work while you're there, but i recently spent 3 months in london without forgoing my US-based job responsibilities. a US passport allows you to stay up to 6 months without an additional visa.
you might get some suspicious looks at the border if you have a return flight 6 months out or don't have one at all. i didn't run into any issues other than unusable wifi in my flat (home internet in london can be pretty terrible due to the age of the infrastructure) so i had to fork over £300/mo for a wework membership.
honestly i don't regret it one bit. hope the UK border can forgive me for saying that. london is unlike any city we have in the US and i'd happily take a pay cut for a chance to relocate for an extended period of time.
good for you !! thank you again for all the insights !!
I plan to do this early next year. Was thinking 3 months which seems to be the norm
Sure, message me on here
Not sure how it works in the states but there are tax implications in Canada at least that you might want to look in to
I’m a U.S. expat in the UK, if your stay is less than 180 days in the UK tax calendar year (April to April I think) you don’t have to pay dual taxes / there are no UK tax implications, even if you’re working.
