Do you also make candidates go through a standardized problem-solving or psychological test, and/or other hoops to jump through, before candidates can proceed to an interview with a real person? I just found out BCG has pymetrics test, chat bot 1st round, and real-person 2nd round. That’s brutal, esp. for experienced hires. I though you only do pymetrics, chat bot, HireVue type of stuff as college students applying for jobs

I have attended two interviews with cognizant for the same role. From that, I have got an offer letter from one panel and I am discussing with the HR about to make some salary revise.
Unfortunately, the second panel also processed my profile and it got short listed and they come back for a talk to process the offer letter. Now the first panel HR called me and asked about the second process why it got happened.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
