Torn between two offers and need help. Company 1 is a top 10 hedge fund. 225k base + 85k bonus. I would be in enterprise engineering (software, storage utilization, database).

Company 2 is a top 50 hedge fund. 185k + 65k or more bonus in equity strategy (execution, portfolio finance, market research hub). I’m torn because I’m not sure which path sets me up better for the long term. Posting for a friend, male, 30.

My interview got over on June 29th right after the interview the recruiter called me and told I’m selected and they will be sending the offer letter. He mentioned there will be a delay in releasing the offer letter since merging is happening right now. few days back I sent a mail to HR.. but no reply. and after that I received a mail stating they are no longer considering me for this position. Does this happen to anyone else ?

I have given my interview and the recruiter collected my documents, pay slips expected ctc etc. It has been 2 weeks already and my recruiter told me they're waiting for Oracle approval. How long does it generally take? Do they reject these approval requests often? Anybody attended interview in July or August have received offer letter?
