Revaluating my life as I reiterate this deck.
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

For an industry that is built on relationship y'all sure do hate relationship building
Truer words have never been spoken....
Don't be so fucking needy. Just eat and drink and like it.
When I pick who I want on my team, given general skill sets and competence are equal, id rather have people I can socialize with
You're not drinking enough
1 dinner/week = awesome. 3/week = "dear god not these people again." Regardless of how awesome the team is. Sometimes you just wanna gym, call home, read a magazine....
Sometimes I just wanna eat alone. Team dinners multiple times per week can be tiresome
It's not really relationship building. More like just drinking excessively.
I can't say this enough. No means no and just don't show up.
LOL! I am a senior manager I don't need to suck up. ;-)
I am calling BS on the OP. The kid who posted this is a fresh off the school bus analyst who has been with the firm for less than a year. Accenture is different than the big 4 am n that our project budgets don't have free flowing dinner budgets. Management rarely picks up the tab unless the client is present. Newbie analyst aren't regularly invited to client dinners. Most of the time if management takes a newbie analyst to dinner they are paying out of their own pocket, so do your senior manager or MD a favor and decline the dinner invite.
A5 is right on his points. Also I hope OP is not double dipping with his per diem. We definitely do have occasional team outings we can expense but if you are going on multiple team dinners every week that someone is paying for I highly doubt all of them are expensed as that would draw up some red flags. OP is not at a level where he can grab the concept of 'team' and 'relationship building' yet. A5 is totally right that leadership staffs people we get along with same goes with clients who hire the group they get along with the best. Start focusing on building your network not your complaints.
@A5 calm down Giuseppe. I don't what project you've worked on, but our team dinners are always expensed. The day an SM pays out of pocket is the day skipping a meal won't brand you as "not a team planner". Get off your high horse 🐴
I have been with Accenture a long time on multiple projects and there is no slush fund where they are taking bratty analysts out to dinner multiple times per week. If you ever seen project budgets you would know this, but then again I wouldn't expect a newbie analyst to know anything about project pricing and budgets.
Your attitude is probably why they don't invite you to the dinners
Yes, but not billable. Ask your SM or md, we have codes you can use
A7 we are talking about meals not hours worked. Team dinners are not chargeable or billable hours to the client. Relationship management codes are mostly used for meals when the client is present. You can certainly pass through an occasional team dinner. The bratty OP is talking about how "tired" he is of "team" dinners which I read to be ACN only dinners. Nobody is holding a gun to the OP's head forcing him to go to expense paid meals multiple times per week. Accenture follows a per diem policy and it would raise serious red flags if I expensed fancy boozy dinners multiple times per week for my team when the budget was set mostly assuming per diems.
A8 just a light jab to you, yes Accenture does have a diversity problem, but don't assume that a senior manager posting here has to be a man.
Welcome to the internet. Where everyone is a dude unless proven otherwise :)
