Any body got retention offer from LTI?
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

How do I get WLB?
I have received an offer from PA Consulting , which I think will speed up my development by around 2 years, compared to staying where I am. (More diverse role, exposure, not just focused on one platform/product for which I currently am). In addition, the offer is also a large increase in package. I have only been at my current company for 6 months, however I would like to take the offer, how do I approach this?
What is the culture like, type of work and reputation of Capco in the Data & Analytics space?
I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

Kinda how inflation works..
because even ignoring the raw material cost, the geezer slicing your doner meat now makes £12 an hour (£28k a year) with minimum 3% pension and 15% employer NICs now slapped on top
M2 - calm down, why are you so pressed? Minimum wage has risen 50% in last 7 years so is likely a material factor.
However my suspicion is that there’s some kind of common monopoly or mafia that runs the shops and is driving up all prices

Everything is more expensive…
I mean they’ve doubled in ~7 years… this is not normal inflation… some places even 2.5x
Pro
That’d be ~10% a year on average. Ok, that is high, fair enough
At uni I literally used to get a kebab from a kebab van for £3. How is it £12 for the same thing in london?
Chief
Are you still buying them from the van at your uni?
Chief
Most kebab vans are run by immigrants and immigrants have very sting ambitions for their kid’s education. With the increase in tuition fees and increasing cost of helping them join the housing ladder, prices have to go up 🤷♂️
I remember as a student a pint was £1.79, purer times
Definitely remember getting two beers for a fiver with change
