Can we stop soul-searching and just ship the campaign? Every time we present a new campaign concept, someone on leadership turns it into a 45-minute identity crisis. “Is this really who we are as a brand?” “Does this reflect our deeper mission?” Look, I care about purpose and alignment as much as the next marketer, but sometimes we’re just trying to launch a product video. It’s exhausting to keep reopening foundational questions every time we try to ship creative. Not everything needs to be a manifesto. How do you keep things moving without getting stuck in endless brand existentialism?

Have any of your managers ask you to track every single hour you spent? It’s been pain of me for a long time. 1) sometimes I forget what exactly have I done for the day to reach 8. 2) some tasks take more time than managers’ expectation due to follow up, investigating, etc. and if you put more hours than then expected, they will then ask why.

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

I’ve noticed on Glassdoor, salaries for my level (Director) are higher than my base but have similar bonus opportunity. At what level of pay gap would you push or make a stink? In hindsight I should have pushed more during the hiring process. At 160k base now, seeing ranges in the 170s to low 180s. These are specific to my current company.
