Anyone ever considered contractor gig in Meta/Facebook or any other big players in tech? I'm full-time in a smaller company and it's pretty stable. Wondering if the move could be worthwhile. I have been a contractor with a federal government agency for over a year and only recently became a fed with the same agency.

Will I be eligible for the leave and qualify the 12 months rule with my contractor hours/months for the agency?

I impulsively spent $400 on concert tickets before I left my last job. Now I’m entering my third month at a new job and I’m worried it’s too early to take off to go. At the very least I would have to sign off an hour or two early to be able to make it on time. But I feel awkward asking because generally I wouldn’t take off this early. I have a real estate client who at the top of his organization chart owns is 50/50 partners in a real estate investment company. First question is it advantageous to have the top of the organization 50/50 partners own the r/e company as an s-corp? That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder. All the real estate deals are then owned by this holding company.

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
