TSA should have a record of who inspected your bag. But good luck getting customer service from them. You might start by tweeting TSA to get the correct place to file an inquiry.
Sad! (Not mocking, truly sad, I'm sorry!)
What did the airline say? Also report it to TSA. If it is someone stealing and they get caught, you may be able to get your stuff back.
Idk... but it'll be difficult to prove it was in the bag when it was lost. When the airlines loses the bag, you have a receipt from checking it in; not individual pieces from inside the bag.
Yeah I opened it when I got home and it had a "notice of inspection" in it. And the little pouch I kept it in was just gone. It wasn't a ultra high value piece but I should have just kept it in my purse instead. Ugh. But I've never had a problem before!
Check with your homeowner or renter policy for personal property protection/coverage. If it isn't covered think about getting additional coverage for jewelry and such, I pay about $50/year to cover my watches (I'm a guy so not much else for jewelry) and electronics.
Yeah, follow-up with the airline
Yeah, lesson learned :(
Really, there's nothing that can be done?
