Hi there,
I have joined Amdocs in the first week of May. I am working in afternoon shift and entitled to get the shift allowance. But 2 months salary credited but did not receive any of the shift allowance amount. Can anyone please tell me when Amdocs will credit the shift allowance??
Thanks

Take it. Won’t regret it
no brainer… take it.
No brainer. You would need at least 3-4 years in your current role to catch up this bump and that is assuming your new role does not have any raises
The learning curve would probably be hard since they’ll expect you to know a lot already. Fake it till you make it.
If you’re in audit just go to advisory. You’ll get a similar bump and your pay will increase at a faster rate than industry.
The issue with industry is always the pace of the raises. Industry is a very broad umbrella so it’s hard to know if your particular role is the exception to this rule.
So do your own deep dive. The worst thing that can happen is they bring you over at a number and it doesn’t move for several years.
Advisory gets paid more but definitely don’t think it’s by more than maybe 8k for the same market, and they also run the risk of more frequent layoffs
I don’t think it’s as much of a no brainer as everyone else says. What is your currently salary and what’s your expectations of raises going forward? I got a 30% raise this year. I won’t get that again next year but I still expect to be well over 10%. I’m not getting raises like that at most non-big4 jobs that I could get. You also didn’t mention WLB which is a big factor, whether you like your current job/team, etc.
Sounds like a great opportunity and might be the move for you, but I don’t think it’s black and white based on the information you provided.
I assume this is a small company if you're reporting directly to the Controller. I switched to a small company after KPMG for a similar reason. The increase in pay was nice and work life balance for sure was much better however, I wasn't learning anymore. I tried to exit to a different role but wasn't getting noticed by recruiters anymore since I was at a small organization even with a CPA. Had to go back to a big 4 to find another exit eventually but was fortunate that big 4 were still hiring and I had one year as senior under my belt. Look up the LinkedIn Profiles of people that are in the role and at the type of Company you want to work at during the peak of your career. Their path will probably be a pretty good roadmap to follow.
You should take it
Left PA at Senior level and went to Asst. Controller role. Had about the same increase in pay and WLB is sooooo much better. One of the best decisions I ever made.
Is it that you don’t like money? Hahaha. That’s why we do what we do.
