A relative is raising a teenage son with her ex-husband. They have joint physical custody. The ex-husband has re-married. When the son is in his care, he often leaves the son at home in California with his (new) wife when he travels for work (which is often). The relative wants her ex-husband to leave their son in her care when he travels out of town but the ex-husband disagrees. The relative wants to know her chances of prevailing if she were to appear in court on this issue. Thoughts? Thanks!

I am having 2.5 years experience in the IT sector on vision plus as a software engineer (before joining the bank). Been at SEI 10 years, star of every team that I've worked on, and only make $87,000 annually with a $6,500 IC target. Asking for an increase this June to take me to $100,000 in some combination of salary and/or stock options. Any tips for asking for stock options in lieu of a company being able to meet a salary request? TIA

Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.

Currently SC at 115k ~ (+25k retention), offer from Capgemini Invent at 170 for M level.. not sure on sign on bonus. Worth the switch? Any reviews of capgemini?

I feel like these “incredible” exit opportunities consulting gives you is only applicable to MBB (i.e, companies only value MBB experience vs others). Any successful exits from Big 4 folk?
