Currently working in Bank with 7+ YOE including 6 yrs in Big4 non-MBA (Masters in Finance). What is the total comp (base+bonus) that I can ask for? What is the general sign on bonus? Thanks in advance

Lol you won’t get any bonuses…. Wtf?
The firm I started at in NY everyone got a bonus as long as you were in good standing. Obvious downside is if you lag too far behind the group you likely just get the ax.
Some firms pay bonuses to everyone.
Others only pay bonus if you hit bonus. If your firm has a mandatory bonus target, you’ll likely get no bonus.
But I’d just ask a person in your own firm about this versus fish bowl when you didn’t even provide the name of your firm. We can’t give you advice without knowing the firm.

1500 isn't awful as a 1st year...
Coach
1500 is the average for 1st years in my group
You should have picked a firm without an hours requirement.
LOLOLOLOLOL my experience with firms that claim they don’t have a billable requirement is that they do have a billable requirement. They are just intentionally opaque about it.
Most first years do not hit hours

If the rest of your class/group is slow I wouldn’t be too worried about lower hours. Typically only get a bonus if you hit the min. requirement.
Agree with A2. Also whether your hours are concerning or not depends on the rest of your class a bit — if all the other first years billed 2200 and you only billed 1500 then that’s probably not good. That being said most first years don’t hit 2000 at my firm. And you wouldn’t get pro rated bonus unless you hit at least 1800 at my firm but every firm has a different bonus policy. I’m also at a v15 firm for context.
