What’s your speciality / function / industry? How did you choose it?

I’m currently in a generalist program and am struggling to figure out where I’d ultimately like to align.

Graduating senior. Have choices between MBB and SWE at FAANG. Not sure what to do. Long term I’d love to be in a small startup or a leader in a tech company. Not sure which path is better for that. Any thoughts?

For the past 25+ years, I've been a devops engineer, cloud architect and team lead on many projects. I would like to make a career move into IT Management (i.e. DevOps Manager, Director of Cloud Ops, etc.). When it comes to skills needed, what should my focus be on and how would that translate onto a resume? I would love to still be hands-on to utilize my tech knowledge.

How do I start my career as an AML/KYC analyst? I have in customer service for 3 years and now I want to change my career path.

Could anybody tell me what certification would be required and where to get them from?

And will it be a good career path for me with customer handling experience?

I see different thoughts about online certifications and boot camps if you don’t have experience. Any thoughts? Also what’s the best way to break into tech?

What are the easiest practices within S&C to go from A to C? Or does this not really matter? Anywhere I can objectively see the performance of each practice?

I don't see myself making it to PPD. Work seems like bs and things can definitely be more efficient and effective but politics gets in the way. Contd.

I trained on .net and then after I supported .net application. After 3 years I got to work on ssrs reports. We build reports from scratch in ssrs, then I worked on qlik view application. Attended training on qlik sense. My question is for which openings/certificate I have to look .net (I have only support knowledge) or reporting tools like ssrs, qlik view ? I am struggling to choose with the way to upgrade myself.

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

Curious the pay difference between SAP and partner consulting firms. What can a S4 HANA cloud or OnPrem consultant expect to get paid at a place like EY or another big 4 firm with 3-5 years of experience in PMO/Functional Consulting roles with an MBA?
