I want little bit job security and good learning environment. My last working day is 8th April. And almost all companies are offering somewhat same difference is within 1 lakh in ctc
I’ve been with PwC almost for a year now in the valuations group and I don’t see myself doing this long term. 90% I’m helping Audit Teams understand valuations and 10% I’m doing PPAs. I always wanted to go into more a consulting role (ops/strategy role). I also like modeling, but the current modeling I’m doing is more accounting focused rather than finding business value from synergy creation. Ideally I’d like to stick with PwC but I’d switch too. Thoughts where I should apply too?
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Then I realise so many others have made it and I am either not good enough or I am weak willed/not determined enough, etc. Is it just me? I feel like I am not doing this right.

Oh ok....I have seen many ppl that didn't feel that they fit into this culture ...haven't promoted ...and left ...some of them...became very successful in their post consulting careers. What level you are currently ..and how long u been with Deloitte?
There's BS at every company. I wouldn't use that as a criterion for ruling out your firm or consulting in general.
Is it project specific or not (e.g. Same problem every project)? If that's the case then perhaps try a different firm, if that doesn't work then perhaps it's consulting specific. I know how you feel sometimes.
@IBM1: I am sr consultant and I've been with the firm for 2 years. I may need to consider an exit strategy after this years review
@ACN1: I think I go through phases. But it happens every project. I guess that's what makes me question it to an extent. I mean I certainly enjoy a part of it, but I really hate the parts I don't like. Does everyone just suck it up and enjoy the good part but ignore and move on from the part they don't like while moving up the ladder?
OP, what is your current level?
I hear this a lot and for most people it's not just every project it's all the time. This career choice puts a strain on multiple facets of your life and you should be constantly questioning the direction your going and whether you want to continue on this path.
