Fishes, OK so this is true. Wipro is delaying the joining by half a month due to some restrictions or organisational changes & not ready to compensate for that half a month loss of salary. Very rude & absurd behaviour from them. Hence rejecting the offer as such company if u aren't sure when to ask for joining u may revoke the offer letter later on. Hence multiple options in hand is necessary nowadays. Infosys Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies

You should know as a VP its not always about the public recognition, you know what you helped enable and its why you are where you are. It wont go unnoticed internally etc. Also - did you solely just convince them to take the leap or guide them through the execution of it?

Be honest here: how much is this due to COVID? And being dead serious. Did their sales increase that much overall or did it just all shift from other methods (retail, sales reps, etc.) to digital?
This is great story. True value of being “agile-mindset” considering those 25 engineers will facing significant disruption in their usual work habits. WFH in North America is very different from WFH in New Delhi/India.

If they don't want to hire you and pay you $$$, you actually hust have a hugely vastly inflated ego and view of the value you added (ie. they would have done it anyway without you).
If they do hire you and pay you $$$, then your ego is justified. Congratulations.

Great success story OP, but what does “digital” mean in this instance?
Not to nitpick, but I really find the use of the term strange without specifics of what was “digitized”. Did they transition to digital marketing campaigns? Did they take on an e-commerce implementation? Did they improve performance or efficiency in backend processes?

Yes of course - a risk is a risk. You can only approach it with rationale and hypothesis - prove it wrong or right fast and pivot or don’t.
