Food for thought this a Friday. Quiet quitting has been trending for the last few weeks. This is problematic in two ways. A) Doesn’t actually identify the root cause for burnout (I.e abuse at work or poor company culture B) Completely dismisses a whole demographic of people unable to do the bare minimum without facing penalty. Any other thoughts? https://www.theroot.com/why-is-quiet-quitting-a-thing-for-white-people-but-n-1849407594/amp

No, you should have factored some type of raise into these expectations. From what you said they didn't ask for current comp they asked for expectations.. I would have gave them what I expected my raise from current employer to be plus some 🤷🏼♀️
Agree. Did this recently... Jumping with 40% raise!!
M1...’I would have gave them..’🤔
I always tell them what it would take to get me to consider jumping. If they can’t do it, it saves us both time.
Agree with M1

Where are you going, C2?
A.T. They asked his expectations to jump.. they didn't say what do you make, what do you plan to make in X months. A straight forward question of what will it take for you to jump.. therefore, you should have factored in EVERY possible scenario for what you make, high/low probabilities in raises, promotion raises and bonuses THEN given your number.. it's not if the situation changes because you should have known how these changes would impact you prior to even talking to someone else 🤷🏼♀️
Hahaha exactly ACN1
I always say 20% above next raise.

Completely disagree. If your situation changes, they need to recalculate or risk losing you. They'd do the same.
