I would ask for full bonus for meeting pro-rated hours (if there’s an hours requirement) and a 50k signing
50-75k sign on and full year end bonus if your pro Rata hours meet the firm’s target.
agreed with above. also think about what kind of deals you want to be on, any BD roles, particular partners or other groups you want to work with…one can be pretty creative and even if they can’t make it come true they’ll at least know what you want and try.
As a follow-up, if I’m not using a recruiter, logistically how do I go about negotiating anything different from the offer letter? Do I call / email the internal recruiter? Do I call or email the partners I interviewed with who have told me to reach out if I have any questions or concerns? I’m in unchartered territory right now so any advice helps!
