How long did you work for them ? 6 months. 6 years, etc…. Tenure will matter to squeeze some more out of them.
What are your concerns about the separation agreement? If that’s the law, it’s the law, but good to understand your specific worry here.

This was my timeline. I was notified on Jan 9 that my last day would be Jan 31. I was given a 2 page document that outlined my severance info. On my last day, I had a call with HR and received my exit agreement. They didn’t pay any severance until I signed it. I had until Feb 20 to sign. It basically said I release all claims and won’t say anything negative about the company or its executives and I won’t discuss the agreement or my separation terms with anyone in or out of the company. I signed it and got my severance the next week/
