Have you ever taken a job you know you will hate because you needed the money right away? I have a family to take care of. I don't want to be plowing through our savings for selfish reasons like my mindframe at work, but I don't want to make our lives worse by being miserable. In an attempt to be healthier, I built a permanent standing desk. Now, once every couple hours my Apple Watch reminds me “it’s time to stand up” and I feel superior to all those chair sitters out there.

LinkedIn is a garbage app where I can’t even post my opinion or experience because it will go against the mainstream ideologies. If I even “like” a post then I worry that my peers and managers see what I like and suddenly I need inclusivity training. What a load of shit! You can’t be who you truly are on that app. Which is why I like fishbowl so much, the anonymity is a game changer. If LinkedIn was a anonymous, we’d see a lot more support for Kanye and a lot less LGBQT material. Bet!

I just got a FAANG offer with 290k TC (8 YOE), so I am trying to rent out my place as I need to relocate, but I am not able to find someone to cover my full rent and I am depressed because I am so not investment savvy and I can NEVER EVER accept losing money in ANY SITUATION. Am I being insane?

I started a new job, and moved to a new city about 7 months ago. Honestly, I’m not happy. I like my company’s culture, but not what we do. I tried to stay a float , but just can’t. I’m in a place of leadership, and they have me in a lot of projects I have no interest in. Current salary is 75k and I have a contract offer(aligned with my passion) for $50hourly(roughly 100k). Sometimes I walk around my house calling my dogs name, pretending I don’t see him, even though he’s right there on the couch. I walk around “searching” for him.
