It does nothing the Reserve card can't do, earns less points and has an annual fee. Would love the Freedom card with revolving 5% back categories, which the reserve card gives me 50% extra value when redeeming on travel.
(I now have the Reserve card, of course)
I downgraded no problem
There should be no issue, but I'm sure they are losing many CSP customers because of the CSR so are just trying to make it harder. You are allowed to though, they might just be playing tough
I downgraded three days ago to freedom. It took them 5 mins to do it
PWC1- physical locations aren't always the best. My local branch had zero knowledge what the process was to downgrade my CSP
Why downgrade
Go to a physical location
Call back and see if the next person does it
Oops just saw that you already talked to two people. Maybe try emailing a complaint? Or tweet them
Annual fee for CSP is waived with chase private client banking. Does this hold true for CSR?
I downgraded CSP to regular CS yesterday. No problem
CS = Chase Slate? They don't advertise a non-Preferred or Reserve Sapphire on their website. Anyone ever looked at the free Amazon card? 3% back there and 2% at drugstores / gas (and dining but Reserve bests that). I guess the biggest downfall is cash back vs UR
^ CS = chase sapphire regular, the one without annual fee
http://www.valuepenguin.com/chase-sapphire-credit-card => no longer available (nor is it listed on Chase's website)
Guess they can still back door it, but I'd still take the freedom over it any day given it has unique perks.
