I’m either passively interviewing, in which case I’ve never really had too much simultaneous proactive interest from agencies I’d actually consider… or I’m actively in “I hate it here get me tf outta here” mode in which case I’ll take as many interviews as I can get including from places I’m not really into
Pro
If I’m not working - full court press and juggled 6+
If I’m working - really 2 active ones. maybe 3. I can have some pipeline stuff but 2-3 really active ones. it’s better if the 2-3 are following similar timelines
Thanks for the insight. The second scenario is about what I'm juggling now, with some phone screens sprinkled in.
I can really only do two at once, especially in my current role. Things get so busy that it's just not realistic for me to juggle more than that and still keep up with my current workload. The job hunting process is exhausting and the pressure really sets in when everyone around you is jumping ship. Hope you find a good fit soon.
2 companies at max for me, anymore and the quality of my interviewing goes down noticeably.
I did five at once earlier this year while still full-time/busy, and it was really, really, really tough.
