Current in early stage VC for 6 month and have been hating it since month 1 but didn’t feel I can leave because of my visa, as due to apply for settlement in June (I.e. in 5m). I m hating it every day as the team is toxic and I really don’t enjoy the job, but switching jobs 5m before settlement and needing to repay the visa fee (£5k+) sounds like a very suboptimal scenario. Any advice on the best course?

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?

Working as a Senior Accountant at Vanguard with my CPA; 3 YOE, Greater Philadelphia area. Took this job to give accounting one more try and while I don’t regret it I’m bored. Anything in finance more challenging/less box-checking? People have recommended public but I’m not interested in audit/tax or travel.

Have an offer for both, the B4 tax tech offer is higher. Interested in the more technical / software aspect of tax tech. Finance Business Partner is very similar to FP&A.
