If you’re desperately looking to exit consulting...sure. But in the long term...that’s up to you. Exiting to industry super early has both its perks and downsides
It’s a public industrial with 2.5bil revenue 2018. Multiple industry headwinds so a lot of investments are being made in next two years. Also seriously considering an MBA and the firm pays. On the other hand I could also purchase a house back home Day 1.
I’m in M&A strategy so feel free to DM on this if you have specific questions. There are pro and cons to both options. You need to think about what your long term goals are as well as the possibility of attending b school which we’ll pay for it you make it into an M7. Why did all your friends stay in this T3 city?
Yeah the MBA program with the firm is one of my biggest hesitations. A lot of friends in T3 stayed in Audit/Tax where’s I went the DAS route in T1. This role aligns with end career goals but came a lot earlier than I expected.
What’s senior associate and m1 salary in this Kpmg group? Curious.
That's got to be post MBA lol.
If you're interested in MBA and both pay for it. I would accept the Corp dev. Few reasons- 1.You have more time to study and prep for MBA 2. You experience corporate America and decide if it's for you and 3. It helps your leverage for finding jobs post MBA(can claim Corp and consulting exp). Goodluck!
If the Corp dev job pays for your MBA, that could move the needle for me towards that role. You should expect for a 2-3 year commitment post b school but you could always recruit and pay them back.
Hope you don’t leave our strategy team. While x years of consulting experience is probably more valuable than x years of industry experience, there’s real value and insight to be gained in industry and if you come back to consulting it would provide a perspective that many consultants don’t have
Senior is $150 and M1 is $165
Is this post MBA? If so, what would a non-MBA range be?
