Some of the people I admire most in this industry applied to 50+ jobs when they were first starting out. Even the best of us have been there at some point.
It took me a long time and I interviewed a lot, but nothing transpired. When it did though, it was the perfect fit. Don't get discouraged! You will find something and it will take time bc this industry is challenging.
The perfect fit will find you. If it doesn't work out then it probably wasn't a great fit. It can be challenging, but don't lose hope. Your new employer will be lucky to have you!
It's less about quantity and more about quality. Are you doing something unique when you apply? There's no shortage of creative stunts that people have pulled off to get hired at great agencies.
^ No. No stunts. If you need a stunt, it means your book isn't good enough. If your book isn't up to par, it won't burn the bridge. You can reapply with an updated book down the road. If you piss someone off with a stunt, you're all done at that place/with that person.
OP, keep at it. If they don't want you, you don't want them. You'll find the place where you're happy to be. Unfortunately, it takes a while for that to happen. But the ones that are persistent are the ones that get the job they want.
I start a new job in a new city in two weeks! I think I applied to over 50 jobs and had 10 or more different interview funnels. It took me 3 months of hard work but im really excited about my new job!
Less applying more networking
