Currently consultant at ACN Strategy,~3YOE, switched from a smaller consulting firm back in January. Got an offer from Uber for a Strategy&operations manager role, 20% pay bump.
I am unsure about wether to accept:
> I consider going for a MBA b4 exit. I am not sure wether I could get it partly financed from ACN
> Comp and the role seem very attacrive, but the role is framed as "Individual contributor" (no subordinates)
> I would be switching ACN after only 8 months

My two year anniversary of starting my career (in general) is coming up in the next 3 weeks.

Aug 2020- 65k base salary
Jan 2022- 80k base salary
July/Aug 2022- 110k base salary


Just posting as a reminder to LEAVE that job (within a reasonable time 😂) and go where the money is!

(p.s. I already know some of you have had higher increases in the same amount of time & I consider 6 months minimum is “within a reasonable time”)

However, I've had A LOT of recruiters reach out to me for positions that are way below my current salary. They do the whole "your background and expertise is exactly what we're looking for" then turn around and offer a salary range that is 20k below my current level. My resume clearly says I've got 10yrs experience and an MBA. I **don't think* I should be getting offers of 80k-100k
