I would move back in November. Save a bit more, you’re not missing anything in the city, and you’ll be on the fall / early winter renting cycle going forward. I have a feeling when you renew next September prices will hike way back up.
There’s always next year + Charlotte isn’t so bad lol
The market is good, city is pretty open it feels almost normal minus the pandemic, masks, etc. outdoor food/ music/ drinks is nice. I would go for it. Snatch up for favorable rates now. Most places offer a month free on a 12 month lease (13 total)
Stay with the parents until this is 100% in the clear. You won’t regret the savings $$ and the time spent with family. Ny will always be there. I’m in the same boat as you and happily enjoying my parent’s company for the time being.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one in this dilemma. Ive also heard people speculate that flu season and the cold could make the pandemic worse in winter (plus, forget about outdoor anything when it’s cold AF).
If you’re up for it, perhaps a two - three month furnished rental is a happy medium just to see how things are over there (that’s what i’m considering doing)
Same issue. What is life going to be like two months from now when things start getting too cold to be comfortable doing outdoor dining? You would be paying to be stuck inside your apartment.
That being said, your mental health is critical and I totally understand wanting your own space to be happier.
