Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Assuming USA - if doing everything above board you ultimately pay the same amount of taxes and stuff at the end, since any taxes you don't pay using payroll service have to be paid during annual tax submission
Nanny payroll service helps prevent you from being surprised later...like say oh I needed to pay $9 a month workers comp, but didnt since I only do venmo and now I have to pay out of pocket for an injury and since workers comp is required (many states) i also have to pay penalties for not having it....payroll service would set this up at state or give checklist to help track you needed to do so.
We used quicken payroll so much cheaper than care.com and others, but also makes you still do about 75% of the work, while the more expensive ones are but more automated.
We had Poppins for a year and a half. We got tired of the payroll tax burden and eventually went to paying her on Venmo.
