Is there anything stopping someone from opening and maxing multiple 529 accounts per year to maximize tax deductions? In VA the limit is 4K per account but accounts are transferable within immediate family so theoretically one could open accounts for multiple recipients and merge them to one later, right?

Hi, I am an engineer with a master degree . I worked for more than a decade as an engineer. I then switched to product marketing through mba. I was recently laid off from a series B startup . hi everyone! does anyone know the typical salary range for a Business Development Manager (Tech Partnerships and Alliances / Partner Manager - not a BDR team manager) with 6 years of SaaS experience at a large tech company in CA?

Can anyone help me with the tax implications on the bonus received . I got 2.5L bonus in this payroll and 56k tax was deducted at source. Now I’m on notice so I have to resign and return the gross amount that is 2.5L .. what happens to the tax I paid 56k ? Is that my loss ?
