Debating between two offers, one from Deloitte as a solution manager USDC with better salary but familiar domain and one from Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate level, on a new domain. Wondering which one to pick, based on job satisfaction, work life balance (for women, if it matters) and growth opportunities. Maybe it's too obvious that i am not noticing, would like to hear different viewpoints🙂

Deloitte’s USDC is the step child no one wants to acknowledge, you get treated like second choice even within Deloitte. BAH is a better fit if you want growth opportunities and WLB.
USDC Solution manager isn’t a bad gig. Don’t believe their judgemental lies.

My hostility is to your boldface lie about USDC associates of ours get treated, brought in with a bill of goods thats far from reality.
USDC doesn’t
a) Pay as well as Deloitte Consulting
b) Pathways into DC are minimal
c) They do a lot of support and implementation work at a lower rate than the DC folk.
The firm looks at it a purely financial perspective and that’s the truth. We are doing ourselves any favors by lying and telling potential hires that USDC and DC are the same.
Deloitte USDC is rough. Not great benefits and typically working on the worst types of projects - long term implementations for state and federal govt.
I think the only perk is getting Deloitte on your resume and letting future recruiters think you working in Consulting.
Bah is constantly rated one of the top places for diversity in not only our industry and the officers in the company are 5:4 women to men
Deloitte needs to give USDC some overdue respect and formally adopt it with better pay!!

If I had to guess better benefits and salary at Deloitte, but it is an up or out type of place whereas BAH much more relaxed
Sorry, my raises sucked at BAH compared to Deloitte and my bonuses have consistently been great at Deloitte
Try negotiating to get into the core Deloitte Consulting model, I was able to negotiate from PDM to core model
Depends on which Operating Portfolio/offering.
