Declined for Delta Amex Gold because Experian report flagged me as ‘too many new cards’. I have only opened 1 (maybe 2 if you count Feb 2021 edge case) card in the last 12 months, and when I pulled my Experian report myself, there was no reference to having too many new cards or anything like the sort.

Going to call Experian Monday to see what’s going on. In the meantime, is it pointless to apply for the Alaska Airlines card until I speak with Experian?
