I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

Should I waiting for the H1B or make a swtich? Is it worth waiting for H1B and how much saving one can make per month if traveling to US?

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. My PERM PWD was filed in early February and I’m still waiting. Almost all PWDs filed in the same month in my company have received determination, and all that are still in process are in the same department/team as me. I wonder what’s going on there.
What happens if a PWD takes more than 12 months to get approved? Would we have to file a new PWD since the 9141 wage survey is only valid for 12 months? (Feels like a PWD that takes >12 months to adjudicate would break the world record though).
