Hello Folks,
My LWD with current organization is on 30-Sep-2022.
I have an offer with HCl and joining date is on 3-oct-2022.
I have cleared the TCS technical and managerial round and got an email to upload the documents to proceed further with HR discussion, an I have done it yesterday.
But my priority is to go with TCS, but the doubt is will TCS provide offer or joining letter before 30-Sep-2022, because only 6 days left to complete my LWD.
Any suggestions to handle this.

PwC can't even be bothered to include the O, so...
Personally thought Deloitte was awful
We still say Booz sometimes, and are managed partially autonomously from PwC.
What level are you? Makes a big difference. Deloitte has competitive comp for hiring but falls short during promotion time.
From everyone I’ve talked to, S&O is more like a mix of PwC MC work and S& work.
One more note... as of very recent, the culture is on a very steep upward trajectory as well (new CEO and leadership changes).
Strategy and...? Strategy and...? Strategy and...?
Probably Deloitte if you’re junior - better morale, on job training, etc. As you get more senior (Director+), would say S& — enough white space for you to carve out a mark.
When I was at PwC there were a lot of issues with the old Booz& Co people accepting the culture change. Many still said they work for Booz and not S&
Here’s an example of how big4 management consulting (S&O and MC) differ from strat. If you’re an undergrad then after a couple years you’ll be promoted to post-mba level but still be making $90k or similar.
S&, MBB, ATK, etc. will pay you the same as an MBA, ~$150k base. This trend continues as you keep progressing
Is this a joke? Deloitte S&O.
Not sure exactly what your question is.
Our model is that S& does the strategy and some design work, and MC does other design and implementation work. In reality it’s a little blurrier, takes a long time to make those changes.
Correct me if im wrong but S&O at Deloitte is both, meaning you can be on implementation projects and next day on strategy. Would explain the comp potential difference
Go for Deloitte S&O... PwC talent is cheaper to staff, so the S&O talent spends more time on the bench. At the end of the day the talent is similar (MBAs from top schools) so it becomes a no brainer.
S& pays MUCH better
It’s not about what you get paid now. It’s about what you will make later
It appears S&’s new CEO and USA leader seem to be more focused into CIO Advisory and non-corp strategy management consulting (pmi, sourcing, ops). Which isn’t bad - it appears that’s where most of S&O’s work is anyways. Is the main different that Pwc MC is implementation and staff aug whereas S&O both the initial strategy and implementation?
S&1 on the money with your assumptions. Thanks for explaining the breakdown and collab with Pwc. And yes, from what I hear, S&O consultants can go from a strategy engagement to some implementation/pmo/staffaug project anytime. More often the latter.
KPMG strategy managers are paid more than MBA hires for what it is worth
*difference
@Mckinsey1 - why did you think deloitte was awful??
@S&1 do you like the culture where you are at now? I'm not so worried about comp (junior level), but more worried about culture / experience and how that experience would translate into exit opportunities
If you're a culture fit, Deloitte
PwC OP - happy to drop a burner if you wanna have a chat sometime, I’m based out of Chicago. I’m sure you can find a Deloitte guy willing to do the same.
I like the culture of my team. There are some broader firm culture aspects that we all dislike, and there are major changes underway to resolve that.
A lot of the negativity was because “it wasn’t as good as Booz”. That being said, it doesn’t mean it’s any worse than what S&O is starting with... just means it’s worse than what we used to have. Which is being changed for the better.
