Keto as a vegetarian is rough. You’ll need meat as your main protein source
Eggs, Greek yogurt, nuts, certain cheeses, tofu, protein shakes (if you work out). Totally doable.
Lots of paneer?
🙋🏽♀️ it’s difficult but not impossible. You’ll have to live on protein shakes for the protein. Not the best thing to eat and 9 out of 10 people will tell you not to drink protein shakes. My doctor isn’t against it so I use them.
Answer the q about if you can eat eggs, OP! That’s the important piece here!!
Yes I eat eggs! Any recommendations on favorite keto vegetarian foods, snacks, protein powders?
If you eat eggs it won’t be so bad. You can eat whole egg in any form. For protein powder try one with either zero or low carbs. Isopure has lot many options to chose from.
Just try to keep the meals simple. With a vegetarian keto woe it is easy to get over carbs limit so track your macros daily. And also be sure the food you are eating is all keto approved.
Try intermittent fasting (after you do some research) if you want additional benefits.
That’s TMI but I hope it helps. Good luck!
Forgot the other obvious question - do you eat eggs?
Much appreciated! I've been intermittent fasting for a while and was looking to add something else to my routine to help out. People seem love keto, but was curious about any vegetarians with experience or success stories.
