Hi all, How do you deal with having a good relationship with an ex-colleague, and then that person switches jobs, becomes a hiring manager, is hiring for a position you’re perfect for (experience + credentials) and then you reach out to them saying you’re interested and why it would be a good idea - and then they completely ghost you..I also sent an application via the website and got rejected. I am really always trying to help out old coworkwrs with getting jobs, but this is just frustrating 🥲

I’m trying to stay optimistic but it’s soul crushing to see people you know get better jobs when you have been on the job hunt for awhile. Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.
