Does anyone think these types of firms are sustainable or will big 4 find a way around the independence restrictions and take this work back?

I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. Yet, his parents and others would view him as “lazy” but he does his job and makes a fantastic living. Time>Money and Results>Hours

1099 or w-2 ? I have been given the option though the company prefers w-2. It’s a day rate booking couple of months or more (no end date). I already have 1099 from similar company this year and am leaning towards 1099, but I don’t want to be difficult. I do take home office deduction and they are not supplying any equipment. Hi, I am a tier 2 b-school graduate (major:ops, minor: IT), lost my campus offer and currently working in a c2h role and it was not an MBA opening. My previous work experience is in ITIL process management and service reporting. Can anyone suggest skills I should try acquiring to get to a decent role. Most of the openings I see for MBA candidates require experience in ERP modules which is not something I can acquire via courses. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Weekend dairies: How did you spend your weekend?

I went to my parents place on Saturday, met with old friends.
And on Sunday Yoga and swimming. Now enjoying relax evening. It felt like a vacation and was quite stress reliever.
