How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

If it’s too much, take FMLA or short term disability (if available).
Take care of yourself and baby. My director worked 100 hours/week until maternity leave but that should not be encouraged.
Where are you located? In California we are eligible for STD at 36 weeks. With my first I went out at 37 weeks and worked OT until that time. I regretted it and took the full 4 weeks with my next baby.
I’m due in a few weeks and not planning to work much overtime leading up to baby’s arrival. Speak with your manager and ask them to help develop a plan that will work best for you. Don’t push yourself too much - at the end of the day, the potential complications that could come with over doing it is not worth it for you or baby!
Talk to your team is my best advice. I’ve been pregnant through busy season and my managers were always understanding if I felt bad and wanted to cut out early
I did! I worked 60-70 hours up until my last day.
My first was born on at the end of April and I pretty much worked a normal busy season but didn’t over do it. My second was born in mid February and I didn’t work any over time in January or February…I was too tired and no one cared since they already had all of my jobs covered. Just talk with your managers and prioritize the tasks that are difficult for someone else to take over. I focused on closing out any complex things I had already started. Good luck!
