Do any of you experience rude behaviors from consultant Managers? Like they just Scoff and walk away while you try to explain something to them?

@women in the ME, I’m moving from NYC to Dubai. Is there some things to consider for attire in a business environment or is it the same as in NA? I’m thinking about business travel to other countries like KSA 👀

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

Confronting colleagues? Yes or no ? On a side note, any book recommendations for handling workplace situations

Did first set of redlines for a partner. Have ten years experience doing what this partner does but I am new to working with him. Said I did about a 7 out of 10 on that job. Not sure how to feel about that. What say you all? :) Keep in mind I asked for a 1 to 10 because I cannot talk to him about it for a week or so.

Hooked up with a manager form different line of service and now I came to know he is joining my team.

Anybody have experience neutralizing or even co-opting powerful skeptics? My team is in the cross hairs of a major player with an axe to grind. I am trying to speak their language and frame my team’s value in terms they value but I still feel extremely vulnerable.

Female here and I hate to say it! But whenever I’m pull to a new project I secretly hope I don’t get a female lead. 😞 I had some interesting experiences with women leads, which it does not apply to all women!, but I feel a bit hesitant and I feel is ptsd lol how can I overcome this mentality?!
