Its not like you are wearing a white tee with a pack of cigs rolled in the sleeve lol
Its fine man. Wouldnt do it on site though. Unless youre really good looking. Rule of thumb is that you have a lot more wiggle room if you are fit and good looking, but in the office, its up to your company dress code. Also, if youre not sure of what to do, do what everyone else does. Our industry is like a herd.
Depends...are you getting ready to butcher a chicken?
MB1 wins the thread.
@MB1 “I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is."
Yes it is informal
I was advised by a client not to wear a suit in their san fran location. Also once in dallas when they said i was scaring the staff
@KPMG1- that sounds like a metaphor. I guess question is do you think it could cause negative perception from MD types. Im pretty sure client doesn’t care as they’ve got very lax dress code
I've noticed that my MD rolls his sleeves up every time we're in an internal meeting, he's sitting at his desk, or it's an informal meeting, but always has them rolled down and buttoned when we're client facing. Not sure if it's necessarily good or bad, but I figure if he's doing it, it's probably a good rule of thumb.
You always want to out dress the client a little bit. In regards to internal, if your MD / partners don’t do it I wouldn’t either. My service group dresses more formally than others (we are in FS, always suits and ties) even at internal functions. It’s just the culture of the group. Be self aware and adapt
My favorite part about consulting world is that all it takes is like slightly above average looks to feel like hot shit in a daily basis
@op its all about that consulting S.W.A.G.G.E.R.. also i dont care what anyone says, sociopathic levels of confidence are totally sex.
Mine are always rolled up unless I'm actually pitching a potential client.
Lol if this is something that actually gets taken into account then I, personally, wouldn't want to impress whoever it was that was making the judgement.
Never even thought about this. I always have my sleeves rolled up at client site. No one cares. But then again everyone at the client shows up in polos tucked into khakis half the time
I keep mined cuffed to show off how perfectly fitted and tailored my shirts are - indicated by a great fitting cuff.
D1- that’s actually part of the reason I initially started rolling mine. Sleeves were too long and I didn’t like how it looked. I’ve since purchased better fitting shirts
I roll up my pants
