Do consulting recruiters know about the GMAT?
I am applying to grad level jobs during my MiM, got a 760 and was wondering if employers recognise good scores on CVs

I’m new to this bowl. My experience is in accounting but I’m looking to transition to defense sector consulting. My undergrad degree is in criminal justice and then went the business route for grad. I’m looking to get back to my roots. Does anyone here have experience in weighing Georgetown’s SSP program (or similar) versus an MBA?

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

I am tech guy with almost 3yr exp, but I want to switch to a Management role. Going for an MBA is not possible for me. I was wondering about the possibility to switch to a management role within the next 2 years without an MBA. Company/Brand is not a bar for me.

This is going to sound like an insane question but I keep reading comments in various threads saying that a 760 GMAT in the banking / consulting / PE world is pretty average and won’t help an application. If true, what is the alternative? Retake for a 780??

if u have a low undergrad gpa, would take a post bac course somewhere improve ur odds to get into a top 10 mba?

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?
