But, do they order from Amazon?
Of course they have valid concerns. It says in the article a road was put in for the delivery trucks to use but they're using residential streets instead. That's just not right. It's not like it's a new issue, that's happened all over the country going back decades, you'll often see residential neighborhoods with signs saying no trucks over some weight limit. If people buy a house in what they think is a low traffic area they have a right to squawk.
I'm less than a mile from an Amazon distribution center (built recently, long after we bought our home) and there is constant traffic in and out of the facility. I'm lucky in that they don't go through my neighborhood except to deliver. If Amazon drivers are using shortcuts through neighborhoods that they were not supposed to, the homeowners have a valid concern. When they built near me, they widened a specific road for them to use, and part of the approval was that they were not to use the smaller side streets as a cut through. It sounds like they were promised the same, but the drivers are not abiding by the agreement.
Well, I can see why some people would be a little annoyed with delivery drivers ripping through their neighborhoods without any regular to speed, traffic, or basic safety laws. If I had children waiting on a school bus and I saw an amazing driver whipping by them I would be concerned
