Do y'all have any tips or insights about switching from client to vendor side research?

I'm making the jump from client side to vendor side soon. And also a jump from individual contributor to manager. While I've been in client facing sales roles before, I've only ever worked on the client side in consumer insights. Any advice on making this switch is appreciated!

I really don't like it and I'm working towards a career change which I'm actively applying for and getting certified etc. However, it's been a slow process and I'm currently underpaid where I am so would it be wise to make a lateral move to another MEP firm simply because they offer me more money while I still look for a different job separate from this field? I feel like I do more chores because there are some things that I just can’t stand. Like dishes left in the sink, dirty floor, dirty dogs, laundry…etc. When I ask him to do those chores, he says he will do them later but he takes forever. So I do them instead. Question on switching from provider side to brand/client side…
I’ve been on the “solution provider side” to brands CPG/retail insights and innovation teams, largely in account management (sales) for B2B syndicated database/SaaS providers.
I’m looking to break into an insights/innovation-type role on the client side.
Any suggestions on addressing perceived experience gap because I’ve always been on the pricier side? Are industry certifications helpful on a CV?
