I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Question on switching from provider side to brand/client side…
I’ve been on the “solution provider side” to brands CPG/retail insights and innovation teams, largely in account management (sales) for B2B syndicated database/SaaS providers.
I’m looking to break into an insights/innovation-type role on the client side.
Any suggestions on addressing perceived experience gap because I’ve always been on the pricier side? Are industry certifications helpful on a CV?
