I am into internal communication and one of the way that I follow is I have restricted a few communications strictly to yammer in my organization. This has helped in building the community and also not overloading stakeholders as well with mails.
But yeah I do have to promote yammer within the community time to time in between events and announcements and urge people to use it more.
I have started an MS Teams channel to keep the conversation two way and more engaging. The engagement numbers are a bit of challenge there but it has helped me reduce the number of emails.

Something I did too but because the engagement is invariably erratic, stakeholders are reluctant to give up emails and take this route for even non-critical communications.
What's the stakeholder response at your end?
Not too bad in the beginning. But now that they see ordinary engagement numbers (they don't see that with the typical email and have no qualms about it so), not so happy.
