Yes i used to think about it a lot and didn’t feel i would have a purpose after my dogs died (it was a tough time). I heard, “the purpose of life is to experience living” and that makes sense to me
I've often thought about that throughout my life and I always go back to a line in an 80s show called "Family Ties"...
"The meaning of life is to be happy, don't hurt anyone, and hope you fall in love."
Extra points to those who know who said that line in the show.
The unlikely people are Nick and Skippy.
As a Christian the purpose of my life is to share my faith, serve the church and this world, and live to glorify God in my character, speech and actions. I fall short but I strive to grow . This life is short and I believe we are here for eternal purpose.

The ultimate answer to life, the universe and everything
I periodically ponder the life of Brian.
All the time. Meaning for me is impacting people positively, giving, servicing and helping. We have to care for each other. That will be my legacy, I came with nothing to this life and I will leave with nothing but I will left people behind that is better because of me.
I have thought about it, but there's no need. Whether you're happy or not, it's just one day. There's no need to think so much and get yourself stuck in this vicious cycle. The earth won't stop spinning without anyone. Live in the moment.
My interest has actually evolved to "why do we need life to have an objective meaning?". I think this is only something humans ponder because of how advanced our brains are developed. We rely heavily on structure and goals but also relevance, given our social dependence. What if the meaning of life is whatever you make it? To me, that is a freeing concept.
