In my experience, minorities often face more obstacles, discrimination, and prejudice than non-minorities. This can be seen in the workplace, in education, in the legal system, and in other areas of life.

As a member of a minority group, I have personally experienced instances of unequal treatment from law enforcement. It is unacceptable for any law enforcement agency to show bias or preferential treatment based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
There have been numerous studies, reports, and anecdotal evidence to support the notion that minorities are more likely to be stopped, searched, and arrested than non-minorities. This is particularly true for communities of color, which are disproportionately represented among those subjected to police harassment and violence.
In my experience, minority communities are disproportionately targeted for searches, questioning, and arrests, while non-minorities are given more leniency when it comes to these matters.
I have seen and heard of instances in which non-minorities are given more "understanding" in court than minorities, and in some cases, non-minorities are not held accountable for the same crimes that minorities are held accountable for.
