Do you have to take your lunch at a set time or can you take it at your own leisure?

I typically take it at a different time each day, I just squeeze it in whenever I have a break in meetings and have the time to actually eat. It's nice because I can be more flexible if I have something specific that I need to do outside of work since I can plan for that to be my lunch break.

Do you pack your lunch or get order something?

It’s better to take a lunch at the same time everyday. Taking a lunch,or any meal at different times,is a strain on the body. A balanced, scheduled diet works better with a,balanced, scheduled work day. Nothing is more important than your health/diet.

I try to take it around the same time every day but that is just because I like a consistent schedule. I do have leisure to take it whenever I want though so I can take it earlier or later somedays if I feel like it.

smart

We don’t have specific set times, but usually I try to schedule lunch anywhere between 11 and 1. Some days are easier than others to stick to that. Then some days there is no time for lunch whatsoever, but thankfully that is kind of rare. We do try to make it a point around here to take a little break in the day.

I tend to have lunch at the same time every day, around 1 pm, but it's not really required that I be so regimented. But keeping to a set schedule just makes things easier as people will know when I'm out. A lot of times I'll just bring lunch in and eat at my desk anyway, so it's more like a lunch and Wordle break. If I get busy and thrown off my routine and don't get to Wordle during lunch, uh-oh, everything feels off.

No set time, but I rarely even take lunch. Just grab a protein bar from my snack drawer and power through, lol.

I do that too but then I get home and am starving and make some not too great choices!!! What do your dinners typically look like? Are you a meal prepper? Wish I was

I tell my direct reports to block out an hour every day for lunch and decline meetings. I should do the same thing, but mostly I eat at my desk around 130.

I wouldn’t drink this with a cigar, because you wouldn’t notice it, but it’s insane how much that finish lingers and mimics the mouth tingle after smoking a cigar.

I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late. It's a small town and rarely anything comes up. I hate myself and feel like I failed my family. :(

Hi All,

Was just told to "grow our ESG/CSR" practice at a regional consulting firm, due to my recent grad certification in sustainable biz strategy. Wondering where I should focus us as a services industry for big impact: we have a large product innovation, digital engineering area, and know in the past we've had a lot of lip service to clients and only recorded ESG for their compliance.

Hoping to make a big difference and include CSR/Sust audits and projects beyond for our clients! Any tips?

Hi Fishes, Need advise on tech stack. I am a Mainframe developer with 6+ years of experience. Which tech stack would be more suitable between Devops or Data Science or Mainframe modernization. I already resigned and have 2 months to join new company. Also please let me know if anybody have switched technology in current organisation or new organisation from mainframe and which company to target which could offer exposure to other technology along with Mainframe. Thanks
