OP I do know and I wish that I didn't because I recently found out that people who started after me are making more than me. And it made me really mad because I run circles around some of the people who are making better money than I am.
Yeah I can't believe what people start at now for entry level positions compared to what I was offered when I first started, much earlier than them... It seems very unfair because I don't think they ever take this into account and make adjustments for their longer-standing employees
My workplace is based in NY (as I imagine yours is based on your profile name) and a law passed a few years ago that requires companies provide salary bands. We have ours in our profile that manages payroll.
Unfortunately the salary band is SO broad that it doesn't provide any real information 😔
