LN user here. But love westlaw from LS. I’ve never heard of quicklaw. What do you pay?
$300 canadian $ a month. That includes subscription to the Lawyers Daily and their Practice Advisor service. I am not sure if the Practice Advisor service compares to Practical Law.
Lexis
Get a free temp password for Westlaw and do the same search on both and you will see which you prefer. And nothing compares to Practical Law really. That’s in a league of its own.
I spent tens of thousands of dollars as a small firm on Westlaw and Lexis which was mostly unnecessary for at least half that time. My state bar association gives access to find law and I learned about a lot of free case law options on Google. I was stressed about missing something for the first year, but I consistently find way more applicable law than my opponent.
Westlaw hands down
I prefer Westlaw and I always have.
I used it a couple years ago and didn't have any issues with the product. I found their customer service needed work. Have they improved the product in the past couple of years?
I just signed up for Lexis. They offered me sooooo much more than Westlaw… even though I’ve always loved West law since school. I got a deal for new law firms …for about $50 a month for the first year and $200 a month for the next two years. unfortunately, if you try to do less than a three-year contract, it’s a lot more expensive. If the law firm has to be dissolved, then they will cancel your contract
Really? I've been using Westlaw for quite some time now. This makes me want to try Lexis out :)
Of those options, WestLaw. I prefer Case text though.
