Do you think there’s any real support for queer people in advertising? I’ve been having issues with my boss, so I started the EDI process at work to report it but it’s starting to look really bleak. I also noticed people don’t post in this bowl very often… all this is starting to make me feel very alone and unsupported. I spoke to a few queer people at work and they’re advice was to start looking for another job. They’re so scared, they don’t even show up at the ERG meetings.

Dreaming of switching from account management to film directing. Any advice?

FDD/TAS Senior > Restructuring (Rx) analyst or associate (FAS/Banking) - Has anyone seen it done before? Would starting from Valuation instead of FDD be a better stepping stone to Rx banking. Also, I would imagine the best Rx banking exit would be to HL. Is FTI Rx (FAS) considered better than EY-P Restructuring consulting? How about compared to AM Rx (FAS). Thanks for any input!

How long is acceptable to ask to decide on an offer, especially when another place you really want to work at is moving a bit slower? I know this question has been asked before but I feel like 2022 has been its own beast in the legal market and would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

It’s that time when pride briefs are rolling across our desks. We should collectively write a guide on pride campaigns, what to do and what not to do. Anyone want to share their advice?

Just wanted to say, as a guy in my mid-20’s, cheers to all the 30-40+ y/o LGBTQIA+ folks here—I know we roll our eyes at the performative rainbows on everything now, but you folks made this possible for the rest of us—you fought for acceptance, for our rights, and you made it through the struggle so people my age don’t have the same weight to carry, so we don’t have to be as afraid.
We have a long way to go, and I’ll carry the torch too, but I really think y’all deserve more gratitude. Happy 🏳️‍🌈

I’m sure it’s not new to 2022, but I’m feeling more than ever this year how much of “corporate pride” centers around gay men and calls it “lgbtq”. Are gay women, bisexuals, etc. not as palatable for audiences? I’m struggling with this a bit.
