Do you think you’ve reached your definition of success? I definitely am not where I thought I was but I am successful overall.

I wouldn’t say I’m unsuccessful now, but I do have some goals left. Does anyone feel like the definition of success is a moving goalpost? Life changes so much.

Oh yea it’s definitely moved in the last 6 years which sucks for millennials

I definitely wouldn’t right now. And hope in some ways I never do so I have some motivation

True I’m that person who is also goal oriented. I but wonder when I will reach contentment

When I first started working I was hoping to reach where I am now

But with how the economy is I need so much more to survive
So it’s a Pyrrhic victory

Yea it’s really unfortunate. I hope it doesn’t change up too much over the next 10 years

What is the obsession and appeal for MBB among MBA grads? Is it really that amazing - from afar it seems like it may be romanticized (maybe not the right word) among applicants. I know it’s way better than the work I do now, so I’m not knocking MBB at all. It’s super impressive. Maybe a better way to phrase it is that MBA applicants seem to have a fairy tale view of consulting as a whole. I get the impression that people think a job in consulting is a magic ticket anywhere

Hi Everyone !!!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

Today I won a raffle for an Omega SMP 300. To show my appreciation to the watch gods, I am letting my current diver, the legendary SKX009 go for the same price as my raffle ticket ($38, shipping included). If anyone is looking for this hugely popular piece (ideally a new collector), hit me up! Currently sized to a 6.75” wrist but comes with all links. All hail the watch gods!

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).

Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.
