I’m not a document review attorney per se, but sometimes discovery do be like that.
Typically 100/hour give or take on the issue and types of document.
Chief
Same as A1. Usually the attorney coordinating the document review will tell you the expectation depending on phase the case is currently in and complexity of documents. Usually anywhere from 30 to 100, and 60 is common
50 docs/hour is a pretty standard ballpark number and is often used for budgeting, however in practice it varies widely depending on the types of documents (both file type and subject matter), the richness of the review set and the parameters of the review itself (straight responsiveness vs priv review, number of issue codes, whether redaction is needed).
If I were running the review, presuming you’re not slow as a turtle I’d be more more focused on your accuracy / attention to detail, reliability (do you show up every day?) and your personality (are you pleasant to be around?). That’s what gets people asked back.
I agree with this. When I really get into a flow or if it’s like spam/one sentence emails I can do 100+ hour. Once I had OC tell the judge he had 3000 pages to review and could do 5/hr so it was gonna take him awhile 😂😂
Ha! What magical land do you 30-100 pages per hour people live in? When I was clerking while waiting on bar results, I had to do 500 pages per hour - otherwise it was considered non billable time. This was a huge reason while I very quickly left that firm and insurance defense all together.
That is absolutely insane
